A. I generally recommend the two-exam path, particularly for those CCNA candidates that haven’t taken a Cisco exam before. The Intro exam offers you a little more time and allows you to become comfortable with the Cisco exam engine, particularly the simulator questions. Let’s face it, the CCNA single exam covers a lot of material, from basic networking to OSPF to router on a stick. Most candidates are better off breaking this huge amount of material into two distinct parts.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had plenty of students and customers pass the CCNA composite. It can be done!

Q. Do I have to recertify my CCNA, or is it mine forever after I pass?

A. One way Cisco protects the value of its certifications is to enforce strict recertification policies. When you earn your CCNA, you must recertify within three years.

Q. How do I recertify my CCNA?

A. There is a lot of confusion out there on this question. The latest information from Cisco is that you recertify your CCNA by doing any of the following three things:

1. Pass the current CCNA Composite or ICND exam.

2. Pass any 642-level professional level exam or any Cisco Qualified Specialist exam, not including Sales Specialist exams.

3. Pass any CCIE written exam.

Q. How do I register for the CCNA exam?

A. You can take the CCNA exam at any Prometric or VUE testing center. To find a Prometric testing center near you and register online, visit www.2test.com . For a VUE site, register at www.vue.com .

Direct Broadcast Satellite (or DBS) is satellite TV service that you pay for, like DirecTV or Dish Network in the US or Sky in the UK. These networks own most of the popular and recognizable channels, such as HBO for movies and MTV for music. Anyone who tells you that you can get these channels for free is either lying or assuming that one or both of you are willing to break the law. The price of drugs has risen, and to support their habits many drug addicts have had to commit acts of robbery and murder to get their drugs.

The American prisons are packed full of people whose only crime was possession of these illegal drugs.

Instead of being an industry that is regulated and controlled you have people selling these drugs to kids in school playgrounds, and shooting each other to protect their territory.

Had the government decided not to criminalize drugs but make it a heavily controlled industry, they could use the tax money for social programs like schools ad to give Americans universal health care.

Please do not misunderstand me I am not in favor for legalizing hard drugs, but the current system is not working at all, but I am all in favor for legalizing online casino gambling.

If I choose to play some hands of blackjack or poker from the comfort of my home what rights does the government have to tell me not to, and what sense does it make that I can not play in a casino over the internet, but I can drive down the street to the local casino and play there.

To enforce this ban millions if not billions of dollars of software and computer hardware will be needed to monitor all of the banks transactions and that money will come from taxes instead of the government taxing online casinos or even having all the online casinos government controlled then they get all the profits to be used to improve the lives of the American citizens, millions of which are bellow the poverty line if not homeless.

The American government needs to start re-thinking its policy of treating its citizens like small children, or the American people need to demand a new government.

Credit reports tell these businesses, in summarized form, how an individual has handled credit in the past and is the primary tool being used to decide whether or not they are worthy of being granted more credit in the form of a loan or additional credit cards. However, what people don’t realize is that there is a company that keeps track of the banking transactions of American consumers but unlike credit reports, that information is available only to banks in the form of a debit report. You may not have heard of a debit report, but it can affect you in ways you may not even realize and it can prevent you from opening a bank account.

Debit reports are compiled and maintained by a company called ChexSystems, which also maintains a database of banking transactions by consumers and creates a debit score based on whether or not an individual has ever had an account forcibly closed, their history of deposits, withdrawals and overdrafts. In a nutshell, you probably don’t have an entry in the ChexSystems database unless you have a history of writing bad checks, consistently overdrawing your account or you’ve had a bank account closed. Of course, mistakes are sometimes made that results in individuals having incorrect entries input into the database that they have no way of finding out about until their request to open a checking account is denied by their bank. Most banks currently use this system and while some provide a little latitude, most will refuse to do business with anyone who has a negative entry in the “debit report” database.

The system was originally designed to simply keep track of people who were writing bad checks, but over the past 30 years it’s evolved into something much more complex. Consumers are entitled to receive a copy of their report from ChexSystems, but few people request one; most likely because they have never heard of the company or the report. Because it’s nearly impossible to operate in today’s society without a bank account it doesn’t hurt to at least be aware of this system. The last time we checked, ChexSystems didn’t have a website but they can be reached by phone at 800-428-9623.

On a positive note, there are numerous third party websites devoted to helping people who have had problems establishing bank accounts due to problems with their debit report. Simply do a search for “ChexSystems” using your favorite search engine.

“Our 4-H leader told us about how the Abaco Barb horses on Abaco Island are close to extinction and we knew we had to help save them,” said 11-year-old Cameron Angeny.

The Abaco Barb, a strain of the critically endangered Spanish Barb breed, is believed to be descended from Spanish Conquistador horses that survived shipwrecks 500 years ago. Only nine horses remain of the original 200 due to human intervention and habitat changes.

Cameron and his fellow club members developed a plan, using the writing skills they’d learned keeping 4-H record books. They petitioned Breyer® Animal Creations® to create a model to raise awareness about the horses.

The company was so inspired by the leadership of these young 4-Hers that it developed an Abaco Barb model for its 2005 line and created an annual benefit model horse program.

“These young people were an inspiration for us all,” said Kathleen Fallon of Breyer. “This is a powerful lesson for these children, to know that they can make a difference.”

Capella, named after one of the Abaco Barb stallions, was the first horse in the annual benefit series, and one of the company’s top five model horse sellers in 2005. A portion of the profits from sales of Capella models help Arkwild, a nonprofit organization that works to protect the Abaco Barbs by providing medical care and a protected forest preserve for the herd to live in.

The 4-H club continues to raise money and awareness for the Abaco Barb horses through the Abaco Barb Youth Project, a program that provides ideas for others to help.

Cameron encourages all youth to take on big projects themselves. “Once you have an idea, get your thoughts on paper, and try to accomplish it,” he said. “The biggest thing I have learned is that I can make a difference in the world!”

4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills.

Culinary arts have become an academic pursuit as well. Large food manufacturers look to culinary artists to create ready-to-eat, name brand food products that feature the same quality as those of homemade and restaurant-prepared food. Several culinary arts schools offer graduate studies for students.

There are the more traditional, classical institutions that cater to students who are employed in luxury hotels, cruise ships, resorts and restaurants or those employed as personal chefs to the rich and famous. Famed chefs open up their own schools to train protיgיs. There are also culinary arts schools for hobbyists. Good schools provide intensive, hands-on training and real environment simulation to prepare their students well.

Some culinary art’s courses touch on cooking science or the standard ingredients that go into most food products, food decoration and preservation. The courses also segregate trainings into stocks, sauces, soups, meat, fish and poultry cookery, breads and pastries, etc. Several schools also offer courses on exotic and traditional cooking. Students are also trained on food service safety and sanitation, management and finance.

As it is with other specialized professions, culinary arts graduates may often have to start at the bottom when they do find a position. This is especially true in the very discriminating food industry. Chefs become masters after years of experience and after earning the distinction through award-winning recipes and recognitions. They must first become souse chefs before taking the helm at the kitchen. But extremely talented students need not wait too long to establish their own reputation and following.
